The laboratory was founded in 2007, its main activities are:
• studies of the formation of high-current explosive electron beams for relativistic microwave generators;
• creation of experimental samples of generators of nanosecond pulses of gigawatt power level, distributed switching type switches, cooled solenoids, power supply and control systems.
Experimental samples of mobile high-current accelerators have been created in the laboratory, providing frequency regimes of forming nanosecond tubular electron beams for relativistic microwave generators of three and ten centimeter wavelength ranges. A hardware-software complex for remote estimation of the parameters of pulsed microwave radiation has been developed. Work is underway aimed at minimizing the mass-dimensional characteristics of electron accelerators of a gigawatt power level.
