The nonlinear dynamics laboratory was created at the beginning of February 2008 on the basis of the nonlinear plasma dynamics group, which was formed in May 2001 as a result of the reorganization of the laboratory for modeling electrophysical processes after the departure of its head, Dr. Iskoldsky A.M. in Novosibirsk. The actual date of the creation of a scientific group whose activity is aimed at theoretical and experimental research of nonlinear electrophysical processes in a substance in strong electric and magnetic fields can be considered the publication in 1990 by Volkov N.B. and Iskoldskim A.M. articles "On the analogy between the initial stages of the nucleation of turbulence and electrical explosion of conductors" in the journal "Letters to the JETP". Currently, the laboratory has 12 employees, of which 3 are doctors and 4 are candidates of physical and mathematical sciences.
