Axial execution of a high-current nanosecond controlled multigap discharger.
An experimental model of a high-current nanosecond controlled multi-gap discharger of axial design, directed to switching coaxial lines with charging voltage up to 700 kV, was developed. Fig. 1 shows the design of the discharger. The external diameter of the spark gap is 300 mm, the length is 250 mm.
