Institute of Electrophysics
The Institute of Electrophysics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEP UB RAS) was founded in 1986 by Academician Gennady Andreyevich Mesyats. The Institute was established with the aim of developing a new domain of physical research, namely pulse power engineering, in the Ural region.
Today all scientific activities at the Institute are reduced to the following topics:
- High Energy Density Physics
and Engineering
- Production and Application of Charged Particle Beams
- Nanotechnologies
